‘The Batman 2’ Starring Robert Pattinson Pushed Back by Another Year

Reeves revealed that in The Batman Part 2, audiences will see Batman grappling with his understanding of justice as he questions what is right and wrong in society.

He shared, “There’s a lot of unrest, and people are questioning what they learned at the end of the first film. They’re asking, ‘How could this happen?’ as they realize just how deep the corruption runs.”

In the first movie, Batman saw everything in black and white, with clear lines between good and evil. But in the sequel, he will have to face a more complicated world and decide how he fits into it.

“As we move into the next movie, things will become more complicated,” Reeves explained. “There’s more division in Gotham, and it’s more reflective of the world we live in today, where people are divided and unwilling to communicate.”

He continued, “How does Batman fit into that? It’s not as simple as just going after bad guys anymore.”

Reeves added, “When everything is in the grey, it makes it much harder to be Batman. And that’s something we’ll explore in the sequel.”

Reeves also mentioned that the growing chaos in Gotham, shown in HBO’s The Penguin, will play an important part in setting up the conflict in The Batman Part 2.

Earlier, the director explained why Batman didn’t get involved in The Penguin, even though the show takes place right after the events of the first film.
